Default Does it happen?

Are colleges also looking for athletes from outside the country? Did that ever happen? Does it happen now?

i think it is not uncommon. college coaches spend time and money networking and evaluating players in distant parts of the world.

That is very true. College scouts go all over looking for fresh meat and quite often out of country students get the opportunity to be scouted.

That's an interesting point that I never really thought of before.

I'm reading Sports In America by James Michener, and it's amazing how the American school system uses sports. It was also tragic in many cases, but I'm not sure how much the system has changed since that book was written.
