Default Exhisting Credit Hours

Is there an average number of credit hours a student can expect to lose if they transfer to a different college during their Junior year?

Default transferring credit hours

Hi DianaR,
There isn't an "average" necessarily, but each school usually does not allow ALL credits to be transferred over - unless the courses you took are very similar to the course descriptions/courses of your next college. I wouldn't worry about getting credit for some of your courses though because students would have fewer incentives to transfer.

Where are you transferring from/to?

Hope that helps...
